Sheffield Is My Planet Hothouse
Action Towards a Low Carbon Climate-Ready City

The business community are invited to attend the Sheffield Is My Planet Hothouse. This full-day event will explore the challenges of climate change and how Sheffield looks to a future as a low carbon, climate change-ready city.
The Hothouse will bring together Sheffield's business leaders, decision-makers and key organisations to create a platform for businesses to hear about the latest thinking and the opportunity to network with Sheffield's business community.
A selection of engaging speakers including Lorna Walker, Managing Director, Lorna Walker Consulting Ltd and Nick Johnson, Deputy Chief Executive, Urban Splash will set out the challenge and propose solutions that can be carried forward to Sheffield climate action plan. Delegates will take part in round-table discussions to help shape Sheffield's climate action plan and opt into a range of expert masterclasses covering topics ranging from energy consumption, housing and transport.
The exhibition zone will showcase products and services developed by leading organisations in the region to facilitate the carbon reduction ambition and provide solutions towards adaptation.
Who should attend?
The hothouse will bring together the business community, including public, private and voluntary sectors to debate the challenges of achieving sustainability in Sheffield. Presenting an opportunity to build consensus across the different groups and demonstrating the citys commitment to the agenda.
