Sheffield Is My Planet is a partnership between Sheffield First for Environment and diva creative. Sheffield First for Environment is a key element of the wider Sheffield First Partnership. The Sheffield First Partnership is the Local Strategic Partnership for Sheffield, and its purpose is to coordinate the work of a range of different agencies and initiatives across the city, bringing together the public sector, private sector and voluntary/faith to make Sheffield a successful city and to provide better lives for those who live here.
Additional sponsors will be sought to bring in investment to maintain the campaign.

Delivering a Sustainable Campaign
Sheffield Is My Planet is committed to minimising the environmental impact of the SIMP Programme and will continually measure and evaluate the actions:
- Using 100% recycled paper or paper from sustainable forests
- Extensive range of green suppliers
- Commitment to the reduce, reuse, recycle ethic
- Carbon management including measuring and off-setting of the impact on the environment
- Encouraging communication via electronic means
Delivering Sustainable Events:
- Website for online registrations, access to presentations, papers and travel information
- Movement towards paper-free events
- Comprehensive green venue checklist
- Promoting sustainable transport options including the design and management of car sharing schemes
- Ensuring locally sourced, seasonal produce and using Fair Trade tea and coffee are used
- Ensuring that any paper waste that occurs is recycled
- Ensuring all crockery and cutlery is reusable
- Ensuring numbers for the event are as accurate as possible in order to minimise waste on both catering and delegate pack resources
